Kuwaitis want to build a settlement in Jajce as well

The royal town of Jajce is visited by about 15,000 Arabs annually, Huso Hadžić, director of the Agency for Cultural-Historical and Natural Heritage and Development of Tourist Potentials of the City of Jajce, confirmed for the Patria News Agency. Kuwaitis and Arabs particularly enjoy Jajce because it is abundant in water and peace, and it is known that they do not seek tourist attractions like most Europeans.

- The most frequent and numerous guests in Jajce, in terms of longer stays of seven to ten days, are precisely Arabs. They come in shifts and stay in motels by the lake because water is the most attractive to them, as is the greenery. Generally, those Arab countries are scarce in water, just as we are with oil, and therefore it is interesting for them to sit by the water and greenery – Hadžić told NAP.

He added that tourists visit the medieval city complex, which was a candidate for the UNESCO list, they also visit beautiful places of worship, old houses, come to hear the history of a country, visit the temple of the god Mithras – the invincible god of the Sun, and the Esma Sultanija Mosque.

Hadžić also noted that they have received offers from Kuwaitis for the construction of a settlement, given that a large number of them visit Jajce.

- Honestly, together with the mayor, we are working on it. We are also looking for someone to build a good hotel. We have had some unofficial offers for the construction of a settlement, but those are still negotiations. However, it would be very interesting for us. It is possible that Kuwaitis will finance it, but we need to engage more strongly to attract their greater interest – Hadžić added.

Otherwise, Kuwaiti investors have purchased nearly 160,000 square meters of land in the Hadžići Municipality, in the Osenik - Tarčin area, where they intend to build a residential complex with accompanying closed-type common facilities, according to the conceptual design by the Zenica-based company A Eling.
