By buying a cheaper ticket for the second flight, Katarina avoided death

Katarina Gjoninen from Petrozavodsk wanted to travel to Egypt, but changed her mind three days before departure, and that decision saved her life, reports the Patria News Agency.

Namely, the plane with which she was supposed to travel crashed in Egypt, and none of the passengers or crew survived.

Katarina and her friend gave up on the flight from Saint Petersburg and decided on one from Moscow because it was cheaper. In this way, they avoided returning from Egypt back to Saint Petersburg, precisely on the plane that crashed. By buying a different return ticket, she avoided death.

They are now at Sharm El Sheikh airport and cannot return home yet, as their flight, like many others, has been postponed indefinitely due to this tragedy.
