Customers are increasingly looking at it, but nine modern pieces are sold for every one stylish furniture item purchased

At the thirty-third international fair of forestry, wood, furniture, and interior design "Interio" and the 2nd international fair of landscape architecture and horticulture "Exterio" , which opened yesterday at the Sarajevo Skenderija Center, nearly 20 exhibitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina are showcasing some of the finest products created by their companies across the country, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

Customers have the opportunity to view stylish furniture of top quality and design, as well as modern furniture comparable to that seen at the most elite fairs in the world.

- Customers are increasingly interested in stylish furniture; they look at it and inquire about prices, but they still prefer to opt for modern furniture. We sell nine modern furniture pieces for every one stylish piece purchased – says one of the exhibitors at the fair, adding that this is most likely because the price of furniture often influences the customer's decision. Stylish furniture is made from solid wood, largely by hand, which significantly increases its price.

Furniture production in BiH is on the rise. In 2014, the entire wood industry achieved exports of nearly one billion KM, an increase in exports compared to the previous year. And for most exhibitors at the Skenderija fair, the main buyers come from foreign markets.
