Kulenović: The Convention is a path to strengthening state-building awareness and defining long-term policies!

(Patria) - The Convention, organized by Krug 99 and the NGO Čuvari Bosne under the slogan "Bosnia is ours - Bosnian", is being held tonight at the Holiday hotel in Sarajevo.

The gathering was opened by the president of Krug 99, Adil Kulenović, who said that the slogan "Bosnia is ours - Bosnian" refers literally to all inhabitants of our country to whom it belongs as a natural or civic right of citizenship.

- At the beginning, we intended, in these difficult historical circumstances for the progress of our country, to organize a nationwide rally "For a Sovereign Bosnia and Herzegovina!".

Some non-governmental organizations and representatives of the academic community, as well as four of the seven invited parliamentary parties, immediately responded to our initiative. Their representatives will speak at tonight's gathering.

In the same composition, an Organizing Committee was formed, which has carefully monitored events in and around Bosnia and Herzegovina over the past nearly two months and assessed that in the coming time there will be a need and necessity to organize a nationwide rally aimed at sensitizing domestic and international public opinion to the dangers of ethno-nationalism, which by all means wants to achieve old war goals in new geopolitical circumstances.

Of course, we had in mind the doctrines of division and hegemony over Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the latest "Declaration of the All-Serbian Assembly" and the "Declaration of the Croatian Parliament on the Position of Croats in BiH", and already formed supranational institutions and relations that have arisen under the auspices of special and parallel ties.

This Convention is not our response to them, but the crystallization of our social agreement on a Bosnian Bosnia - Kulenović stated.

He emphasizes that the Convention is a path towards strengthening our state-building awareness, but also a way of filtering and defining the most important and long-term political commitments and visions of a modern Bosnian state and society, which can and should be the driving force of state-building confidence and unity.

- The unity of the academic community, political parties, civil society and citizens on fundamental values and the most important issues of the state will be a generative force of resistance by all means against the destruction of our Bosnian state and the building of a modern nation - Kulenović says.

According to his words, citizens rightly expect responsibility from all academic and political structures in defining and achieving state-building unity on key issues of the state and its defense and protection.

- Party differences on tactical, operational or specific political issues and topics are normal in the process of party competition, which should not be an obstacle to the struggle for the fundamental goals of the state and society.

I call on you to state-building unity on our Bosnian Bosnia! Let us set aside, in these decisive times for the state, disagreements on secondary issues, personal vanities and mutual animosities.

Anti-Bosnian and hegemonic policies and strategies are persistent and unified, while the Bosnian, state-building one is largely broken and unclear about the paths and key state strategies.

No one has the right to retreat, nor to comfort and the belief that troubles will be avoided by maneuvering "between raindrops" and unprincipled concessions.

An easy path does not lie before us. The political ignorance of the masses, part of the academic community and the media, ignorance in the categories of modern European science and political practice is self-deceptive and manipulative against the interests of the independence and sovereignty of the Bosnian state.

What is not clear in the concept is not in the active reality either. The ingrained hegemonic vocabulary has been imposed over the last hundred years. It is seductive, but practically politically conquering, expansionist, ethno-territorial and ethno-nationalist, anti-Bosnian, therefore.

Our masses, many of our political elites, our scientific ones as well, must face the need for political emancipation in the modern categories of the democratic world and the science of politics, state and society.

Without that, we will not emerge from subservience to hegemonic forces and the vicious position of corpus separatum for our progress in freedom, but remain in the position of a special case outside and beyond the modern democratic world - adds Kulenović.

He notes that the most valuable legacy of ZAVNOBiH is the restored Bosnian statehood.

- But persisting in ideologies that have been rejected both in the region and the world, the ideologies of "constituent peoples" versus the community of all free citizens, liberal democracy, will keep us, as in the past thirty-plus years, in a state of a captive state and a collapsed society.

We want a modern state appropriate to the civic order of the world in which we live, we want a modern state, our Bosnian Bosnia. And more will be said about this with reason tonight.

No more compromises or concessions can be made contrary to our natural and moral right to demand the removal of the political, institutional, economic, moral and metaphysical consequences of joint criminal undertakings and genocide, and especially the responsibility of the involved states in removing those consequences.

And finally, the security issue must be one of the most important political issues, from the local community to the state. Confidence in existing institutions is not sufficient in circumstances of their constant weakening and collapse.

Wherever possible, institutional action and their content should be adapted to these circumstances. The first step towards this must be the introduction into curricula of subjects on self-protection of the population, including all forms of hostile activity, from classical to hybrid, as well as cyber protection.
