Kukić's majority to dismiss Gutić?

TUZLA, (Patria) - At the extraordinary session of the Assembly of Tuzla Canton (TK) being held today at the request of one-third of the deputies, Prime Minister Bego Gutić (SDA) could be dismissed. The agenda includes only one item: the dismissal of the TK Government.

The extraordinary session is the result of a split within the Party of Democratic Action in TK and a consequence of the removal of Mirsad Kukić from the position of President of the Cantonal Board of SDA Tuzla Canton. The Presidency of SDA on Wednesday evening made a decision to introduce a trusteeship in the KO TK SDA and appointed Amir Fazlić, a state parliamentarian, as trustee. 

According to sources from Patria within the top ranks of SDA, Kukić has secured a majority in the TK Assembly that will dismiss Prime Minister Gutić. The rift between Gutić and Kukić has been simmering for a longer period, and SDA President Bakir Izetbegović was informed about it on several occasions. Interestingly, Izetbegović described the current situation within SDA, especially in Sarajevo and Tuzla, as a "purification of the party" before the elections.
