KUD 'Đerdan' proud of performance at St. Louis stadium: When passion, dedication and unity come together, dreams become reality

(Patria) - Members of the Cultural-Artistic Society (KUD) "Đerdan" from St. Louis had the honor last night to present Bosnia and Herzegovina, its various regions, traditions and customs to an international audience through a specially prepared performance.

Although they had only two weeks to prepare the choreography, the young members of the society worked diligently to showcase the diversity of our country in the best possible way. They did so at the "Energizer Park" stadium in St. Louis during the halftime of last night's friendly match between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Panama.

Through traditional dances and authentic folk costumes, they presented different regions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, sending a strong message of unity and pride in their roots.

KUD "Đerdan" emphasizes that they are especially proud of their members, instructors and parents who selflessly supported them during the preparations for this significant event.

They stress that it was precisely the joint effort that enabled the performance to be realized at a high level.

They extended special thanks to KUD "Dukat" from Iowa, who lent them a portion of folk costumes, thus helping to make the presentation of Bosnia and Herzegovina's cultural heritage even more comprehensive and authentic.

They also thanked Nebojša Aleksić, whose support, expertise and assistance in the musical part of the program are of great importance to the society's work, as well as choreographer Željko Šormaz for his cooperation, help with the choreography and costumes, and overall contribution to the realization of the performance.

KUD "Đerdan" stated that with this performance they represented not only their community in St. Louis, but also all Bosnian-Herzegovinian folklore societies across the United States of America.

Through a blend of tradition, folklore and unity, they once again showcased the beauty and richness of Bosnia and Herzegovina's cultural heritage, confirming that with dedicated work and love for the homeland, even the greatest dreams can come true.
