KUCZ: Legal and natural persons to immediately take protective and rescue measures against strong wind

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Given that the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute has issued an orange warning for strong wind from the north and northwest with stormy gusts, with speeds ranging from 50 to 70 km/h, for the period from 4 February to 6 February 2020 for the entire territory of BiH, all legal and natural persons in the area of the Sarajevo Canton are warned to immediately, in accordance with their competencies and obligations, take the necessary measures for protection and rescue from strong wind.

Special appeal is made to legal entities performing work on construction sites not to leave objects that could, due to strong wind, fall from building roofs, scaffolding, etc., thereby endangering the safety of passers-by, KUCZ announced.

Citizens are also urged not to leave objects on their balconies and other open spaces that could, due to wind, endanger the safety of passers-by, and not to park their vehicles near large trees.

Municipal civil protection services should put their protection and rescue forces on standby, so that they are ready to respond, in accordance with their competencies and obligations under protection and rescue plans, to the announced strong wind gusts in their municipalities.
