Who is this, for God's sake, Elmedin Konaković: A mutated Abdić, or an ignoramus?

He said that their arrival would change the bad practices of their predecessors. He announced that he would be a "tougher nut to crack" in negotiations. However, Elmedin Konaković, president of the People and Justice party and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is the first party leader since Fikret Abdić to openly speak and act in Croatia's interest.

The other day, when he was a guest on Croatian public television, he answered unclearly whether Croatia had committed aggression. And we know that his speech is far from unclear; in fact, that is his key political asset.

We also know that Konaković is a poor student, and an even worse minister. Because if he had read the basics of what victim associations and scientific institutes publish, it would be clear to him that Croatia committed aggression against BiH. But, after everything we have heard and seen from Konaković, perhaps the problem is not that he is a poor student, but that he is a poor protector of Bosnia and Herzegovina's interests, which is dangerous given his position and influence.

Dazzled by the approval of EU negotiations, which no one knows when they will start or how long they will last, Konaković went to his friends Andrej Plenković and Gordan Grlić Radman to celebrate this success of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is celebrated more in Croatia.

Konaković does not have the capacity to try to understand why the "success," which is more a product of fear of Putin than the effectiveness of BiH authorities, is celebrated more by official Zagreb than by Sarajevo.

And the statement that followed the meeting with his Croatian friends actually showed that the path Elmedin Konaković is taking is more dangerous than the path Fikret Abdić took.

Because the situation today is completely different. Croatia is using BiH's European path to achieve its hegemonic goals in our country. And one of those goals is to permanently anchor Dragan Čović's sister party HDZ in power at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

And there is no doubt that Plenković and Grlić Radman have invoiced this demand to Konaković today. Because the microphones at the European Council had not even cooled down when we were already reading the proposal for the Election Law according to the HDZ model in Sarajevo.

And then the under-capacitated Konaković decided to go a step further, and condescendingly and unconstitutionally told his Zagreb friends: "Cantons, or rather counties, have the right to declare a non-working day." The reason for this unconstitutional statement by Konaković is the fact that the elections in Croatia will be held on Wednesday, which is a working day.

Konaković clearly does not want his partners and friends in Zagreb and the one in Mostar to think that he is not ready to give his last atom of strength to please them. That is why a native of Sarajevo speaks as if he were from Šuica, calling cantons counties, even though no prefects run the cantons, so this term is unconstitutional by the decision of the Constitutional Court of FBiH.

The Law on Holidays defines that international holidays celebrated in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina are New Year's Day, May Day, and Victory Over Fascism Day, to which Independence Day, Statehood Day, and religious holidays should be added.

Therefore, April 17 is none of those holidays, so I don't see how Konaković gives Plenković and Konaković the opportunity, by treating "counties" as separate administrative bodies in BiH, to establish new holidays.

Elmedin Konaković's story has long been clearly hollow. However, the promises he makes to his friends in Zagreb could be more fatal than those Fikret Abdić made to both Belgrade and Zagreb.

Therefore, the real question is, who is this, for God's sake, Elmedin Konaković? And for whose interests does he work? A mutated Abdić, or an ignoramus at the head of the fifth column?!
