KS: Instructions for increased child allowance for families with three or more children have been sent

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Law and amendments to the Law on Social Protection, Protection of Civilian Victims of War and Protection of Families with Children, adopted by the Assembly of the Sarajevo Canton on December 18, 2021, stipulate that families with three or more children are entitled to a child allowance increased by 10% for each child, meaning that all these families receive the said child allowance without a means test.

The Ministry of Labor, Social Policy, Displaced Persons and Refugees of Sarajevo Canton, based on these amendments to the Law, issued an Instruction on the amounts of cash benefits, which for families with three or more children, without a means test, sets the amount at 57.70 BAM per child! The fantastic news is that these Instructions were delivered today to all competent municipal administrative bodies, so that they can begin implementing the Law.

All families in Sarajevo Canton with three or more children can, starting tomorrow, contact the Service for Veterans and Disability and Social Protection in their municipality to submit an application for this historic child allowance, regardless of the family's economic status.
