Bloody streets: Jihadists kill 46 people in front of children and youth

Members of the Albunimer tribe were executed in the middle of the street in the city of Hit, in the part of the province that Sunni jihadists captured last week, said a local official who wished to remain anonymous, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The jihadists, who entered Al Anbar at the beginning of the year, have captured new areas of that province since June, and by executing residents they aimed to intimidate Sunni tribes that open fire on them.

Scenes of a bloody street where executions were carried out in front of children and young men were posted on Twitter. Most of the victims are barefoot, many have blindfolds over their eyes and their hands tied behind their backs.

IS did not immediately claim responsibility for the executions.
