Goran Zubac, Director of SIPA, against whom the BiH Prosecutor's Office has filed an indictment, should have been suspended today at the session of the Independent Board, and not only that. I think other measures should be taken – Enes Obralija, member of the Independent Board of the BiH Parliament, told the Patria News Agency.
Otherwise, at today's session agenda, the Chairman of the Independent Board, Žiko Krunić, did not even put this case on the agenda, to which Obralija reacted by demanding that this agenda item be included.
– There was no majority, and six members of the board rejected my proposal. They even said they hadn't received the materials. But I went to the secretary five days earlier and got both the BiH Prosecutor's Office's notice and Zubac's objection to that notice. What more did I need – says Obralija.
Out of nine members of the Independent Board of the BiH Parliament, Nikola Džambas, Mate Miletić, Mato Jozić, Ljubomir Kuravica, Miroslav Škorić, and Žiko Krunić voted against putting the Zubac case on the agenda. The lone Enes Obralija, Ilma Jusufbašić-Mehić, and Adisa Begić did not have the majority to do what the law requires.
– Therefore, the Law on Police Officers is clear, and there is not much debate about it. But we don't have any caucuses on the board, and it's clear what ultimately prevailed – Obralija added.
Earlier, Šemsudin Mehmedović, a Member of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament, announced for NAP that an initiative to dismiss the Independent Board would be launched tomorrow.
– I fully understand that position. But today, there was no will to respect the law – Obralija added.
Otherwise, as we have written before, Žiko Krunić is extremely close to Goran Zubac, and it was precisely Zubac who lobbied for his appointment to the head of the Independent Board.
