Krunić: I still have no information that an indictment has been filed against Zubac

The BiH Prosecutor's Office has filed an indictment against Goran Zubac, Director of SIPA. The indictment has been forwarded to the BiH Court for confirmation, writes the Patria News Agency. Žiko Krunić, President of the Independent Board of the BiH Parliament in a statement for NAP says that he still has not received this information and is unsure how to proceed.

- I still haven't received that information, but I will be in Sarajevo on Wednesday for a meeting, and then we will see what's next. I am just one of nine equal members of the board who make decisions - Krunić said.

Zubac is suspected of not taking all necessary measures to prevent the terrorist attack on the BiH Presidency building.

Otherwise, on February 7, when the Presidency building was set on fire, Zubac refused to send the SIPA Special Unit to defend life and property.

State Prosecutor Miroslav Marković had previously sent a letter to the Independent Police Board of BiH, informing them that an order to conduct an investigation against the head of SIPA had been issued.

If found guilty, Zubac faces a sentence of one to ten years in prison, and the investigation into dereliction of duty lasted three and a half months.

As NAP previously reported, Zubac has recently been purging Bosniaks from leading positions in SIPA, and the last to suffer his retaliation was Vahid Alagić, head of the Witness Protection Department in SIPA, who was suspended for reporting a police officer.
