Circle 99: Greater equality for women in all spheres of society needed

The Association of Independent Intellectuals Circle 99 congratulates all women on the occasion of the traditional Women's Day - March 8, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

- Nice gestures towards women on this day should and must remain part of our customs in mutual communication and fostering a culture of attention and good conduct on a daily basis. The fight for women's equality, however, cannot be reduced to just good gestures and language purification. The key purification must be in real life! In creating greater opportunities and chances for equality in the labor market! In protecting mothers and creating favorable conditions in the work process during the emphasized maternal role! In political positions and equal participation in key institutions and work positions when making all decisions! In preventing gender-based violence, mobbing, and moral and material satisfaction for victims of sexual violence and punishment of perpetrators of rape, especially mass rape!

Such an emancipation of Bosnian-Herzegovinian society is necessary for the full equality of women within it to be possible.
