Circle 99 condemns attacks on Slaven Kovačević: It is devastating that the state of BiH appealed the verdict

(Patria) - Circle 99 reacted to the attacks on the applicant to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, Slaven Kovačević, whose verdict the state of BiH appealed.

"It is devastating that the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina appealed the "Kovačević" verdict at all, thereby clearly showing that it wants to maintain existing discrimination without the much-needed democracy. This directly undermines Bosnia and Herzegovina's path towards the NATO alliance and the European Union.

Likewise, Circle 99 indignantly rejects the attempts by alleged agents of Bosnia and Herzegovina to, using ethnically charged media and methods of humiliation and insult towards the applicant Slaven Kovačević, a member of Circle 99, draw him into their perverse world of ethnic representation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We particularly emphasize that no one's ethnicity can be used in all matters of active voting rights or the right to vote for whomever we want.

Otherwise, democracy in Bosnia and Herzegovina is directly undermined and destroyed.

We are surprised that the responsible Minister of Human Rights, Hurtić, as the only minister in the Council of Ministers who does not have a single representative in the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is a political nonsense par excellence, allows his employees to "under the table" provide information to certain media with the aim of insulting and humiliating the applicant Kovačević.

Circle 99, for its part, firmly stands behind the efforts of our member, Dr. Slaven Kovačević, to ensure full democracy, eliminate all forms of discrimination, and enable every resident of our country to vote in elections for whomever they want without any ethnic shackles and restrictions, through the verdict that we are sure will be obtained in the name of all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina", stated Circle 99 in their reaction.
