'KRUG 99' - ANNUAL PRESS Crisis in BiH continues, anti-Bosnian forces have launched a coup

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - At the annual press conference of the Independent Association of Intellectuals "Krug 99", the president of this association Adil Kulenović stated that the most important difference compared to similar organizations is the decades-long persistence and continuity of "Krug 99"
in advocating for the values of common life, building a civic concept of the political organization of the state, and rejecting the treatment of BiH outside the standards of modern European states and contemporary democratic nations.

Kulenović announced that such a programmatic orientation in the domain of a culture of dialogue and intellectual engagement will continue in 2022.

"Unfortunately, the escalation of the political and security crisis in and around Bosnia and Herzegovina again places us before difficult historical trials. Equally moral as political. And above all, before challenges for our judgment in searching for the right answers to barbaric assaults on our homeland and society," Kulenović said.

He also reminded of the continued blockade of state institutions: "The deadline for executing the coup is already running. The opposition in the RS does not question the goals of the coup, but the political methods of Milorad Dodik and others. Potential state-building political forces lack a clear vision for building and developing a modern democratic and secular Bosnian state, flirting between ethnocratic and civic organization. There is no decisive call for fighting the centuries-old lagging of BiH behind and outside the community of democratic European nations and civic political rights and freedoms."

The public was also addressed at the conference by member of the Presidency of "Krug 99" Strajo Krsmanović, who believes that 2022 will also be difficult and turbulent.

"This is the year in which a coup is announced and has already begun to be implemented, a year in which elections are to be held. It is already certain that they will be conducted under the same electoral legislation. There is no longer any political will or time for changes to the electoral law," Krsmanović emphasized.

Prof. Dr. Senadin Lavić, a member of the association, pointed to "an open attack by right-wingers on the constitutional order of BiH and all values of Bosnian-Herzegovinian existence or the concept of Bosnian-Herzegovinian common life."

"An insolent anti-Bosnian political campaign is underway, and we are aware of it, under the guise of returning competencies to the RS entity, which attempts to derogate state laws and destroy the system of institutions of the state of BiH. The pretext for the planned and long-prepared rebellion was Inzko's addition of amendments to the Criminal Code of BiH," Lavić added.

Lavić also reminds that "the Greater Serbian, anti-Bosnian forces rebelled because they were denied the right to insult victims and deny the crime of genocide against Bosniaks."

These forces, Lavić believes, are publicly implementing a plan to destroy the state of BiH.
