Krsmanović accuses: RS authorities are to blame for the "death bus" in Foča, we are driving on goat paths

Member of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska Zdravko Krsmanović (NDP) announced that he will block the main road Foča - Šćepan Polje, if the authorities in the BiH entity RS do not urgently repair this road of death.

Krsmanović blamed the RS Directorate for Roads and the company Srbinjeputevi, the company that maintains this road, for the death of three girls who lost their lives on this road a few days ago after the bus they were traveling in fell into a ravine.

- The culprit for the accident is the Directorate for Roads and the maintenance company, because they did nothing to make this road, which is treated as a main road, what it should be - Krsmanović warned the media.

- Instead, they did everything to keep it a goat path, which can only be called a path of death.

He said that the authorities have been deceiving citizens for years with talk of building a new section on this route, which would be 20 meters higher than the existing one. However, instead, it is enough to widen the existing road by two meters, and the journey on this section would be safer.

If the Directorate for Roads and the Government of RS do not repair this section, Krsmanović announced that he will do everything to block all main roads in the municipality of Foča. He reminded that, in addition to this route, which connects the two capitals Sarajevo and Podgorica, the regional roads towards Čelebići and Čajniče are in a similar condition.

The company Srbinjeputevi, which maintains the section of the road from Foča to Šćepan Polje, where the tragedy occurred on Sunday, claims that the section was cleaned twice before the accident, but admits that the road is so unusable that traffic on this section is impossible for buses, reports NAP.
