KS Crisis Staff calls on citizens to respect measures during New Year's holidays

(Patria) - The Crisis Staff of the Ministry of Health of Sarajevo Canton calls on the citizens of Sarajevo Canton to respect and implement all hygienic-epidemiological measures during the upcoming New Year's holidays, which were previously ordered by this staff, as well as by the Crisis Staff of the Federal Ministry of Health.

They also remind that on December 17th of this year, the Federal Crisis Staff extended the period of application for its previously adopted orders, which precisely prescribe all measures for catering facilities and hotels.

They also emphasize that these measures remain in force, and reiterate that they include limited working hours for all caterers until 11:00 PM, respecting physical distance in general, as well as distance between tables, and a limited number of people indoors to a maximum of 30.

The Cantonal Administration for Inspection Affairs of Sarajevo Canton previously informed the public that their inspectors, in accordance with the valid orders, will control the respect and implementation of all the aforementioned measures on New Year's Eve, according to the already established operational supervision plan and in cooperation with the Support Unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of KS, throughout the entire Sarajevo Canton, including the surrounding mountains and picnic areas where catering facilities are located.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of KS has also announced that they will engage a sufficient number of police officers on New Year's Eve to perform tasks and duties within their jurisdiction, especially to provide assistance to competent inspection bodies during the implementation of planned inspections.

In this regard, the Sarajevo police have appealed to citizens and visitors of Sarajevo Canton to adhere to all prescribed measures, among which they particularly remind of the limited movement every day between 11:00 PM and 5:00 AM.

Citizens are also invited to spend the New Year's holidays with their immediate family, as by avoiding any kind of gathering, they protect themselves and their loved ones.

Members of the Crisis Staff at the end of this year, which was unfortunately marked by the coronavirus pandemic, also extend words of gratitude to all citizens for their demonstrated responsibility and adherence to the prescribed measures, and wish them good health and happiness in the coming year 2021.
