Crisis in FBiH: Čović and Izetbegović must sit down and talk

The meeting between the presidents of HDZ BiH and SDA, Dragan Čović and Bakir Izetbegović, was supposed to be held this week, but after Čović's sharp reaction to the agreement between Izetbegović and Milorad Dodik regarding the Coordination Mechanism, everything is in question. There is a possibility that the meeting will be held tonight.

The head of the HDZ BiH HNS Club in the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, Jozo Bagarić, told Patria that the talks between the two presidents must take place in any case.

- Regardless of the meeting and the agreement between Dodik and Izetbegović, we need to sit down and talk. At the FBiH level, we have non-compliance with agreements, outvoting, but I think things have settled down and we will reach an agreement – says Bagarić.

Bagarić confirmed that there will be no session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament this month.

Bakir Izetbegović reacted to Čović's sharp tone and told him that "there is no crisis unless HDZ creates it." Čović has not made any further statements after yesterday's media appearances and letters to European officials in which he expressed protest due to the Coordination Mechanism and the statement of HDZ BiH.
