CRISIS OF POLITICAL MORALITY Nihad Uk for a lesson: Naša stranka, NiP and SDP are preparing a bottomless pit for the future of KS citizens!

In the months before the “new history of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, which the current government is selling us, we witnessed a complete apocalypse and downfall of political and moral responsibility in the Sarajevo Canton. Day after day, news arrived that turned the spotlight on the cadres of Naša stranka, Narod i pravda, and SDP. The exact same scenario of downfall, thanks to which this group ousted the previous government, is repeating itself, but the “reformers” do not want to offer us any answers for our better tomorrow, let alone responsibility.

Reports from their directors in public institutions failed. And then these directors, after everything, were elected to party positions and will be in reserve until public attention subsides, and then they will be directors again.

Of course, I am talking about Abel Baltić, an SDP cadre, who left the position of director of the Public Institution Health Center KS after a series of serious incriminating accusations and a failed work report. And shortly after leaving, under suspicious circumstances, Baltić was appointed president of the SDP in the Municipality of Novi Grad. As a cadre of the president of the SDP Sarajevo Regional Committee Adnan Šteta and those of whom Šteta is a cadre. Therefore, the fact that someone performed poorly with accusations of possible law violations was a recommendation for Baltić to become the head of the local SDP in the most populous Sarajevo municipality.

The political scene of Sarajevo Canton is shaken, and despite the loyalty of “independent” media with American capital, the public has still learned about a series of scandals and problems in the cantonal government. Naša stranka, Narod i pravda, and SDP are facing serious accusations of cover-ups and irresponsibility. However, despite these accusations, these three parties and their cadres act as if they are untouchable, both by the electorate and by the judicial system.

Naša stranka cadre Boris Trapara is the subject of actions by the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office taken to reach a final prosecutorial decision. For Trapara, director of the Cantonal Institute for the Protection of Cultural, Historical and Natural Heritage of Sarajevo, documentation related to the disputed work experience certificate that Trapara submitted when applying for the position of Director of the Institute has been submitted to the KS Prosecutor's Office. The competition required five years of work experience.

Cantonal Prime Minister Nihad Uk has hidden from the public, without any need to show responsibility and explain this case to the public, as well as the case that followed.

And the information followed that Adis Mešić, director of the Cantonal Administration for Inspection Affairs, falsified a certificate of employment, which was permanently confiscated by the Municipal Court in Sarajevo. The case of Mešić's appointment was also the subject of the KS Prosecutor's Office's work. Do you remember how much the Trojka cadres sailed through the public with stories about uncovering crime, nepotism, and other anomalies of previous governments? They announced that they were coming for those bad predecessors, and then they came and became bad.

And with them came a worse security situation. Shootings, clashes between gangs and criminals, murders, traffic chaos… No, this is not the time of SDA rule when the Trojka members “went out into the streets with the people” to protect citizens from murderers protected by the system. Now the Trojka rules, and the security situation is in chaos.

This is an unimportant problem for the KS Government, because apart from Katić, who is directly responsible, no one else has come forward and taken responsibility. Questions about the security situation for the President of the KS Assembly Elvedin Okerić were populist. And the fact that he is the biggest populist hidden behind the position of the presiding officer of the Assembly is shown by the fact that he scheduled a thematic session on the security situation only after Elmedin Konaković's justice seekers started saying what everyone in Sarajevo Canton knows - the security situation is dangerous, with a tendency to become very dangerous.

Waterworks workers repairing the water supply network do not have indefinite contracts, educators are continuously writing and preparing protests, young people have been deceived before everyone's eyes… Too much has accumulated, and the Trojka, instead of transparency and quick reaction, has retreated into the silence of their political shelters and buried their heads in the sand while waiting for the glory of the imaginary progress on the EU path to cover up the catastrophic situation in KS.

If we add to that the enormous debt, as well as the inherent lack of transparency of Lukashenko, whom Dodik asked to deliver public transport vehicles to Sarajevo, the government in KS is more like the one we see in Belarus, and not at all similar to the capital city of a country that wants to join the EU. Citizens have the right to know the truth and rightly expect accountability.

And for the leaders of that Trojka, a question and a kind of riddle: “How can we progress towards the EU if we do not solve internal problems? Hiding behind the fog of European integration will not absolve you of responsibility.”

The citizens of Sarajevo Canton deserve a better and more responsible government. It is time for Uk and his Government to show that at least a shred of political responsibility remains and to leave before they destroy the system they were supposed to fix! The path they have taken is not far from the path that leads behind bars, and the fact that we are increasingly receiving answers from the KS Prosecutor's Office on how cases related to the decisions of the KS Government and Assembly are being processed perhaps best confirms this!
