Krivokapić uses SPC to further inflame Montenegro

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Government of Montenegro adopted information at today's session and expressed its absolute readiness to sign the Fundamental Agreement with the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) as soon as possible, announced the Prime Minister of Montenegro Zdravko Krivokapić.

"This process has gone through several phases of harmonization and from the Government's perspective, it is fully ready for signing," said Krivokapić.

Draginja Vuksanović Stanković, a representative of the SDP in the Parliament of Montenegro, said that "anything signed by the outgoing Prime Minister Krivokapić that would be contrary to the Constitution and the law will be legally void.".

"Nothing that undermines the civic and secular character of Montenegro should be signed. Religious equality and the equality of all religious communities and believers of the SPC must be ensured. The other side must also know that signing such an important document with the Prime Minister, just a few days before his dismissal, would not contribute to solving the problem – but quite the opposite. We are telling the outgoing Prime Minister not to provoke us!" Vuksanović Stanković stated.
