Criminal complaint filed against Forto and Konaković to SIPA

SARAJevo, (Patria) – The State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) has received a criminal complaint against Edin Forto, Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton, and Elmedin Konaković, Speaker of the KS Assembly. Konaković resigned as Speaker on December 27, 2019.

The complaint was filed by a group of employees of the University of Sarajevo due to alleged misuse of funds. The amount in question is 900,000 KM.

We remind you that the opposition criticized Konaković for the expenditure of over 600,000 KM transferred to him by other ministers from the KS Government, as well as by the Prime Minister himself. Konaković claimed that everything was transparent and that the money was distributed to associations, athletes, the sick for treatment, and also a grant of 60,000 KM to BANU, which was condemned by the public due to Muamer Zukorlić at the very time he was a candidate for the reis-ul-ulema of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
