Criticism yields results: Minister Kazazović extends deadline for response on KS Education Strategy

The Minister of Education of Sarajevo Canton Elvir Kazazović requested from the principals of primary and secondary schools to provide their opinion on the "Education and Science Development Strategy of Sarajevo Canton for the period 2017-2020" within nine days, which provoked a reaction from the president of the Cantonal Board of the Independent Trade Union of Primary Education and Upbringing, Saudina Sivre, who believes the deadline is too short for analyzing this important document, writes Patria agency.

A reaction from Minister Elvir Kazazović followed very quickly, who extended the deadline for submitting comments until October 15, 2017.

- Taking into account the great interest in the text of this document, we have decided to extend the period for submitting comments, proposals, and suggestions until 15.10.2017 - it is stated in Minister Kazazović's letter today.

Schools received the Strategy on September 21, and it is expected that the education development plan will be improved based on the opinions and proposals that schools will submit.
