Krišto schedules phone session: Reform agenda depends on Košarac or Amidžić

(Patria) - BiH Council of Ministers Chairperson Borjana Krišto has scheduled an extraordinary/phone session of the BiH Council of Ministers for today with only one item on the agenda. The session begins at 3 PM.

This concerns the Reform Agenda, which has not been adopted in multiple attempts. The European Commission has set a deadline of September 30 for the adoption and submission of this document, and if it is not adopted, BiH will lose an additional 108 million euros from the Growth Plan. This money will be distributed to other Western Balkan countries. This would be the second reduction in the tranche for BiH, totaling 400 million KM.

During her multi-day visit to BiH, European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos urged the authorities in BiH to work on reforms and unblock the European path, as their inaction is detrimental to the citizens of BiH as well as planned projects.

Although the session of the BiH Council of Ministers was supposed to be held on September 24, it was postponed yesterday to October 1. Whether Krišto received a signal from ministers from RS that they will support the Reform Agenda or if she simply wanted to relieve pressure on herself after Commissioner Kos's visit will become clearer after the deadline for statements expires.
