(Patria) - The current political situation at the BiH level is complex at the moment, and I hope that in the coming period there will be more political responsibility to look at the future of BiH so that we overcome this crisis, said the Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Borjana Krišto, today in Mostar.
- A lot has been said in the media, perhaps even too much, and I, as a person in responsible positions, try to look at all this differently and work.
Therefore, I want to say that the institutions of the Council of Ministers are working, we have our regular sessions, but we also have problems with decision-making, which we have always had because the institutions of the Council of Ministers work on the basis of consensus, by which we must agree on the agenda, but also make decisions.
I hope that in the coming period there will be more political responsibility to look at the future of BiH in the context of the responsibilities we have as political representatives towards each constituent people and towards every citizen of this country, and that we will overcome this crisis - said Krišto.
She emphasized that political tensions are created in the media, and then they are transferred and reflected in the work of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, but that she tries to prevent this crisis from spilling over into the executive authorities, which must work and make decisions within the framework of the Constitution and laws.
- That is clear to all of us, and I would not reflect on some decisions and moves made within the Parliamentary Assembly due to some individual matters. I think that is not building a system and it is not something that BiH needs.
I was and will remain someone who, as a responsible political person, does everything to base my decisions on the Constitution, laws, and procedures that bind us all. That is the path to stability, security, and the European future of BiH - stated Krišto.
Regarding European laws, she emphasized that "they failed precisely thanks to those who call for some kind of European path and thanks to the lack of their support".
- A few days ago, we signed an important agreement with Frontex, and this is one of the obligations, as well as something that Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union need in the context of border protection and management.
All those who talk about the European path must also practically demonstrate it through decision-making and through institutions and bodies of authority. No one has the right to decide and make decisions on our behalf; that is not good for BiH.
Institutions and bodies of executive and legislative power are those that will show what they concretely want and how they will behave - emphasizes Krišto.
She assures that the institutions of the Council of Ministers will continue to work on fulfilling the stated conditions, thinking concretely about the two laws that will be in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.
- The Minister of Justice of BiH, Davor Bunoza, has continued to work on this law in consultation with all members of the working group.
I regret that this happened without any explanation; a lot of effort was invested, and regardless of some comments heard in public, they did not actually have a legal and professional basis when it came to the rejection of the Law on the HJPC.
We continue to work, this is the path we are taking, and thus, I hope, we will reach the goal because all work yields results - concluded Krišto.
