Krišto with Tajani and Schallenberg: BiH is in a crucial phase of its European path

(Patria) - Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of BiH Borjana Krišto spoke today in Sarajevo with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Italy Antonio Tajani and the Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria Alexander Schallenberg, who are on a joint visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Krišto welcomed Ministers Tajani and Schallenberg and expressed satisfaction with their return visit to BiH and their interest in the situation in our country.

She expressed gratitude to the ministers for their support of our European path and the recommendation that their countries, along with Croatia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Greece, gave for opening accession negotiations for BiH's membership in the EU.

She emphasized that in BiH we are very aware that we are in a crucial phase of our European path, and that this visit by the ministers, like all our friends in the EU, and their unquestionable support give us additional strength to engage further in this short period, face all the challenges ahead of us, and continue with the initiated reforms.

Furthermore, she reported that precisely during their visit, they are intensively working on finalizing the Draft Law on Prevention of Conflict of Interest.

Krišto expressed the expectation that the European Council will make a Decision on opening negotiations with Bosnia and Herzegovina during this month. She reiterated that the Council of Ministers of BiH continues to work at the same tireless pace, because all necessary reforms are needed by us in BiH, for our own sake.
