Krišto spoke with Slovenian President Pirc Musar

(Patria) - BiH Council of Ministers Chairperson Borjana Krišto spoke today in Sarajevo with Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar about the European integration of BiH and bilateral relations between friendly countries.

Krišto thanked for Slovenia's continuous support to Bosnia and Herzegovina and its European path, and especially for the initiative to form the Group of Friends of the Western Balkans. Full membership in the European Union is one of the main foreign policy goals of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and therefore we consider it extremely important and expect the European Council to make a decision in March on opening accession negotiations with Bosnia and Herzegovina, said the Chairperson of the BiH Council of Ministers.

She emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina has fully aligned its foreign policy with the EU's Common Foreign and Security Policy and is diligently working on fulfilling the 14 priorities from the European Commission's Opinion.

Krišto welcomed the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, adopted by the European Commission, and reminded that a Working Group has been established in BiH for the development of a reform plan for its implementation. She emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina supports the idea of further economic alignment of the Western Balkans through a common single market with the EU's single market.

Chairperson Krišto pointed out the importance of regional cooperation and good neighborly relations within the process of enlargement and stabilization and accession to the EU, and assessed that, in the context of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Western Balkans, economic security plays a key role in regional stability, closer integration with the European Union, and in facing international threats.
