Krišto: We will check the legal basis for lobbying activities in the US on behalf of BiH

(Patria) - Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Borjana Krišto (HDZ) stated today that it will be examined whether BiH could have hired a lobbying firm in the US.

Namely, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Elmedin Konaković revealed that a lobbying firm has been engaged in the US to lobby for BiH's interests within the new administration of President Donald Trump.

Krišto said that she saw this information in the media, and stated that as political representatives within the institutions of the Council of Ministers, they will inquire whether there is a legal basis for such activities and who can even lobby for Bosnia and Herzegovina, given that it is a state of three constituent peoples.

She also said that HDZ BiH never takes anyone's side, but consistently represents the views and interests of the Croatian constituent people.

"We are political representatives of the Croatian constituent people, we have our own clear positions and goals. Let all those who say that this crisis should be resolved one way or another ask themselves. We are not someone who will be a political leftover of certain political parties in the context of resolving certain political positions. Our desires and goals are to ensure lasting stability, peace and equality in BiH, however someone understands that, and we will persist in that," said Krišto.
