Krišto convenes security agency heads: No indications of security situation being threatened, appeal sent to media

(Patria) - At today's meeting, BiH Council of Ministers Chairperson Borjana Krišto discussed with the heads of police and security agencies and directorates at the BiH institutions level the current political and security situation, with a special emphasis on the implementation of laws within their jurisdiction.

Accordingly, the overall security situation was reviewed in the context of the functioning of these agencies and directorates.

The heads of all agencies and directorates emphasized that the security situation is stable and peaceful, and that there are no indications of it being threatened.

They also referred to and highlighted successful cooperation and coordination, both among agencies and with other police bodies responsible for security, as well as cooperation on an international level.

Therefore, aware of their role and responsibility in accordance with the BiH Constitution and the laws that prescribe the competencies of police agencies and directorates at the BiH level and the Intelligence-Security Agency, it was confirmed that responsible work and action will continue at full capacity based on the principles of independence, professionalism, and impartiality.

Only in this way can we ensure and protect the functioning of institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and contribute to political stability and progress on the European path.

Given the importance of objective public information, it was emphasized that it is very important for the media to verify the truthfulness of information before publishing it when it comes to the situation related to the current political and security aspect.

The meeting with the BiH Council of Ministers Chairperson was attended by: the Deputy Minister of Security of BiH, the Director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), the Director and two Deputies of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies in BiH, the Director and Deputy of the BiH Border Police, the Director, Deputy, and Assistant for Internal Control of the Service for Affairs with Foreigners, the Director and Deputy of the Agency for Forensic Examination and Expert Witnessing, the Agency for Police Support, and the Agency for Education and Professional Training of Personnel, as well as the Deputy Director and Chief Inspector of the BiH Intelligence-Security Agency.
