Krišto at the Regional Growth Plan Summit Raises Issue of Professional Drivers and Their Problems in the EU

(Patria) - Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of BiH Borjana Krišto is in Skopje at the Regional Growth Plan Summit, attended by other leaders from the region. With representatives of the EU and leaders of the countries, discussions were held on the achievements so far of this most important financial and institutional mechanism of the European Commission (EC).

Krišto informed the attendees about the achievements of Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly regarding the recent adoption of the Draft Reform Agenda, which will enable Bosnia and Herzegovina to access financial resources within this financial instrument.

In addition to all the essential issues from the four pillars of the Growth Plan, which foresee integration steps for the region, Krišto also informed the participants about the ongoing problem of professional drivers and border waiting times. She emphasized that a functional solution should be based on real-time entry and exit, which will lead to a continuous and stable flow of international road transport. A high degree of understanding has already been reached among all participants on this issue to resolve it urgently.

"It is of utmost importance that we continue to work diligently and together and make further necessary strides in aligning all laws and norms with the EU," Krišto concluded her address.
