"Krimolovci" in August: 529 calls and 15 useful pieces of information received

Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) registered 529 calls to the "Krimolovci" telephone line in August 2016.

In the mentioned period, 15 useful pieces of information about committed or planned criminal offenses and perpetrators were received from citizens, based on which the same number of criminal intelligence reports were compiled.

In addition to the above, 48 reports were received via the electronic form for reporting criminal offenses, of which nine were useful pieces of information about committed or planned criminal offenses and perpetrators, based on which the same number of criminal intelligence reports were compiled.

The majority of information related to unauthorized drug trafficking and abuse of official position. Out of the total number of received information via "Krimolovci" and the electronic form, 24 were forwarded for further action to the competent police authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and SIPA acted on six of them.

During the reporting period, 21 feedback reports were received from competent police and other authorities related to previously submitted information received via "Krimolovci" or the electronic form for reporting criminal offenses.

In addition to the above, SIPA police officers provided 111 pieces of advice to citizens who contacted them via the anonymous and free telephone number "Krimolovci" – 080 020 505.
