Krešić with Vilić and Jurić: Directorate increased scope of work and tasks in 2015

Deputy Minister of Security Mijo Krešić visited the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH and met with the Director of the Directorate Mirsad Vilić and his deputy Milo Jurić, the DKPT announced, reports the Patria News Agency.

During the meeting, Director Vilić presented the activities that the Directorate realized during 2015, and pointed out that the scope of work and tasks of the Directorate is continuously increasing, especially in the area of VIP protection and data exchange.

Vilić also said that the Directorate organized a series of training sessions and seminars in the past period, which were attended by members of other BiH law enforcement agencies in addition to the members of the Directorate. He also presented future planned activities included in the Directorate's Strategic Development Plan, which relate to strengthening communication, coordination, and cooperation between police and other bodies in BiH, as well as with international partners.

Krešić expressed satisfaction with the results achieved by the Directorate in the past period. He said that the security sector of Bosnia and Herzegovina has a good legal basis, but that strengthening cooperation between all institutions is necessary for successful functioning.

The fight against all forms of corruption, strengthening the integrity of police officers, as well as building and strengthening mutual trust, is a prerequisite for the effective functioning of the security system. On this occasion, Mr. Krešić also gave full support to the Directorate's plans, both in terms of organizational development and in the area of carrying out tasks within its legal jurisdiction, the DKPT announced.
