
(Patria) - In the first decade of the month, January fully lived up to its characteristics as a winter month. Air temperatures were slightly lower than average for this time of year with abundant snow, especially in Bosnia, according to the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute.
Until the end of the week, stable and mostly cloudy weather is likely in Bosnia with air temperatures above average. Light frost is expected in the mornings until Friday, and during the day, temperatures will generally be above 0°C. Mostly cloudy weather will prevail in Herzegovina, with light rain or drizzle possible.
Minimum air temperatures will generally range between -1°C and 5°C in Bosnia, and from 3°C to 8°C in Herzegovina. Maximum daily temperatures will be between 4°C and 10°C in Bosnia, and up to 15°C in Herzegovina.
Early next week, according to available synoptic charts, new precipitation will affect Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Rain is forecast for the south of the country, which could be heavier by mid-week. In Bosnia, precipitation will be on the border of rain, sleet, and snow in lower areas, with snow expected in higher areas.
Morning temperatures between -2°C and 2°C in Bosnia, up to 6°C in Herzegovina, and maximum daily temperatures between 2°C and 6°C in Bosnia, up to 10°C in Herzegovina.
