Royal City: First International Jumps from the Jajce Waterfall

The international competition of jumps from the Jajce waterfall, held for the first time in the royal city, will be opened with the first jump at 4 p.m., reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Competitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Croatia will compete for the first time in jumps from this waterfall.

About 21 meters high, formed at the confluence of the Pliva and Vrbas rivers, the Jajce waterfall is, according to many assessments, among the ten most beautiful waterfalls in the world. It is among the rare waterfalls located in the very center of the city.

A large number of tourists are currently in Jajce, who have come from all parts of the world. There is also a large number of the diaspora who are on annual vacations, so the organizer expects several thousand spectators tomorrow who will cheer on the brave jumpers.

Jajce will be represented in the competition by jumpers Pejo Jelinković and Muhamed Šporo, who also jumped last year in exhibition jumps.

The director of the Agency for Cultural-Historical and Natural Heritage and Development of Tourist Potentials of the City of Jajce, Huso Hadžić, told Patria that Jajce has been making great efforts in recent years to maximally include the natural beauties of this centuries-old royal city as an economic resource of the city.

Jajce is visited by more and more tourists every year. Last year there were 80,000, and this year that number could be even higher.

Support to the competitors will also be given by jumpers from Mostar, reports NAP.
