The International Monetary Fund (IMF) could approve new loan tranches for Bosnia and Herzegovina on June 30, said the Minister of Finance of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ante Krajina, for the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP). The IMF concluded the sixth and seventh reviews of the credit arrangement at the end of May, but a decision on the transfer of the increased tranche amount, which now totals nearly 380 million marks, has not yet been made.
- According to my information, the IMF Executive Board should be held on June 30 – Krajina briefly told us. However, on the official website of this institution, there is still no scheduled meeting of the highest body of the IMF regarding Bosnia and Herzegovina. The last scheduled meeting will be held on June 27, but it is not excluded that another will be scheduled in the meantime.
Once the Executive Board makes a decision on the transfer of the tranches, it will take several days for the money to arrive in BiH, NAP reports.
