Kozarić: American aid will certainly reach those it is intended for!

Ten million dollars of American aid is already in the account at the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, said today the governor of the Central Bank of BiH Kemal Kozarić, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).

According to his words, it is a trust account through which, according to the USAID program, aid projects will be implemented for citizens and areas affected by catastrophic floods. Kozarić today particularly emphasized that the money will be spent absolutely transparently and gave his personal promise and responsibility.

- USAID is always first when help is needed, the American people and taxpayers are great friends of BiH and we thank them. That money is already in our account. It will be spent transparently and based on the programs that USAID creates – said Kozarić.

He emphasized that the aid will certainly reach those it is intended for - small and medium-sized enterprises.

BiH has the highest unemployment rate of 27 percent and this natural disaster has further worsened the situation. This is a chance to use the help of friends to rebuild capacities and return people to their starting positions and to reduce their hardship – said Kozarić, as reported by NAP.
