Kovačević: The left will retake the mayoral position in the most populous municipality in BiH

Goran Kovačević, the Democratic Front (DF) candidate for mayor of Sarajevo's Novi Grad municipality in the local elections in BiH on October 2nd, announced that the left will retake the mayoral position in the most populous municipality in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo's Novi Grad municipality.

This international expert in security and international relations stated, during the official opening of the election campaign, that he will first and foremost restore security to the citizens of Novi Grad, which is now needed more than ever, and that in such an environment, it will be much easier to develop the local community's economy.

His political program is supported by a large number of people, primarily young people.

- Local authorities must provide citizens with a completely safe environment - said Kovačević and added:

- And, at the same time, we must focus on economic development, creating a good business environment, social protection... Simply put, local authorities are most important to citizens. And, we no longer have time to wait, reforms must be accelerated.

Kovačević was born in 1982 in Sarajevo. He holds a PhD. He is employed at the Faculty of Criminal Justice, Criminology and Security Studies in Sarajevo.
