SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Staša Košarac received today in Sarajevo the Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for the Western Balkans, Zsuzsanna Hargitai.
The meeting discussed infrastructure projects with an emphasis on the construction of Corridor 5C. Emphasis was also placed on the development of sustainable tourism in BiH. It was noted that the EBRD supports the improvement of this sector and is ready to financially support strategies for tourism development in BiH, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH announced.
Košarac specifically addressed the possibility of developing rural tourism, which he highlighted as a potential development opportunity for BiH. He pointed out the importance of developing and improving human capacities and education of tourism staff for the needs of the modern market.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the formation of industrial and free economic zones in BiH within the Corridor 5C belt.
