Košarac visited Studen Holding in Brčko

BRČKO, (Patria) - Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Staša Košarac visited the edible oil production factory BIMAL, the STUDEN-AGRANA Sugar Refinery and the STUDEN Holding Agro-Industrial Complex in Brčko. As the largest investor in the food industry of Bosnia and Herzegovina, STUDEN Holding presented its production facilities and high-quality products that it markets domestically and exports to European, Western Balkan, and Middle Eastern countries.

Since BIMAL and STUDEN AGRANA are the only domestic producers of edible oil and sugar, the focus is on the continuity of production, aiming for stable supply of the domestic market.

Domestic industry is in an extremely difficult position caused by the COVID 19 crisis, and therefore it is crucial that government institutions at all levels coordinate their work to institutionally alleviate, not exacerbate, this already difficult situation, stated Ševal Suljkanović, BIMAL's Executive Director for Economic Affairs.

"Minister Košarac's visit assures us that the minister and the ministry recognize the importance of maintaining domestic industry in this extremely difficult economic situation in general, and it is a clear message to all domestic producers that we have a partner to talk to," Suljkanović emphasized.

During the meeting and tour of the production facilities, Minister Košarac highlighted the importance of domestic edible oil and sugar production, and expressed readiness for proactive work that would ensure stable and continuous market supply.

The delegation was received on behalf of STUDEN Holding by Ševal Suljkanović, Executive Director for Economic Affairs at BIMAL, Nataša Pucar, Director of Corporate Communications at STUDEN Holding, and on behalf of the district by Srđan Blažić, Head of the Department for Professional and Administrative Affairs.
