Košarac and Golić on nuclear waste at Trgovska Gora

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Staša Košarac spoke today in Banja Luka with the Minister for Spatial Planning, Construction and Ecology of Republika Srpska, Srebrenka Golić, on the issue of building a repository for nuclear and radioactive waste at the Trgovska Gora site.

Minister Košarac reiterated that this issue is one of the priorities of the Ministry he heads, and that in the coming period he will pay special attention and undertake a series of activities to reach a solution in dialogue with Croatia that is in the interest of all citizens in Republika Srpska and BiH.

He supported and welcomed the efforts made so far by the Ministry for Spatial Planning, Construction and Ecology of Republika Srpska and the relevant minister Golić to prevent the construction of the disputed repository at Trgovska Gora.

Košarac confirmed on this occasion that during February he will organize a meeting with the entity ministers responsible for environmental protection, representatives of the "Green Club", which brings together MPs at all levels of government in BiH, mayors of municipalities in the Una River basin, and the leadership of the State Regulatory Agency for Radiation and Nuclear Safety of BiH, with the aim of jointly planning future activities.
