Corona: Less Testing, More Deaths in RS

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In the past 24 hours, Bosnia and Herzegovina has registered 846 new cases of coronavirus infection (SARS-CoV-2), and 30 deaths from COVID-19 have been reported.

The Institute of Public Health of the Federation of BiH reported a total of 2,910 samples, of which 543 were positive for SARS-CoV-2.

New cases were registered in all cantons in the Federation of BiH. So far, a total of 982,531 samples have been tested, and SARS-CoV-2 has been confirmed in 175,932 people.

In the past 24 hours, 11 people died in the Federation of BiH, from Una-Sana, West Herzegovina, Central Bosnia, Zenica-Doboj, and Sarajevo Cantons, while one death was reported retroactively.

The total number of deaths in the Federation of BiH is 6,978.

In the last 24 hours, 663 laboratory samples were tested in the laboratories in the BiH entity of Republika Srpska (RS), and the new coronavirus has been confirmed in 223 people.

These are 20 men and 20 women, of whom 39 are younger, 122 are middle-aged, and 62 are older.

In the last 24 hours, 18 deaths have been reported to the Institute of Public Health of Republika Srpska.

So far, 89,798 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in RS, and a total of 5,170 people have died who tested positive for the virus.

A total of 359,193 people have been tested.

Today, 80 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Brčko District of BiH. One person died.
