COVID-19 IN BiH: 371 new infections registered, 28 people died

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In Bosnia and Herzegovina, 371 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered in the last 24 hours, while 28 people died as a result of the virus.

In the last 24 hours, the Institute for Public Health of the Federation of BiH received 1,544 samples, of which 249 tested positive for SARS-CoV-2.

New cases were registered in all cantons in the Federation of BiH, except for Zenica-Doboj Canton.

So far, a total of 630,746 samples have been tested, and SARS-CoV-2 has been confirmed in 130,618 people. 

As of today, 112,516 patients have recovered in the Federation of BiH. In the last 24 hours, 260 patients have recovered.

In the last 24 hours, 10 new deaths were reported to the Institute for Public Health of the Federation of BiH.

As of today, the number of deaths in the Federation of BiH is 4,919.

Since the last report on the epidemiological situation in the RS, in the last 24 hours, testing of 625 laboratory samples was performed at the Institute for Public Health, the University Clinical Center, the University Hospital in Foča, and the hospitals Sv. Vračevi in Bijeljina and Sv. apostol Luka in Doboj, and the new coronavirus was confirmed in 112 people.

These are 54 male and 58 female persons, of whom 18 are younger, 53 middle-aged, and 41 are elderly.

According to place of residence, 26 people are from Banja Luka, 12 from Bijeljina, 11 from Pale, six from Zvornik, five each from Mrkonjić Grad, Nevesinje and Trebinje, four each from Doboj, Ribnik and Šipovo, three each from Prnjavor, Rudo, Srebrenica and Čajniče, two each from Bileća, Kozarska Dubica, Laktaši and Šekovići, and one person each from Istočna Ilidža, Istočno Novo Sarajevo, Kneževo, Kotor Varoš, Modriča, Novi Grad, Oštra Luka, Sokolac, Srbac and Čelinac.

In the last 24 hours, 17 deaths with confirmed presence of the coronavirus were reported to the Institute for Public Health.

So far, 61,892 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed, and a total of 3,367 people who tested positive for the coronavirus have died.

So far, 42,796 people have recovered from the new coronavirus, and a total of 258,402 people have been tested.

The total number of hospitalized patients is 773, 328 in the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska, and 445 in other hospitals. 78 people are on respirators (39 in the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska, 39 in other hospitals).

Currently, 6,718 people are under health supervision, and supervision has been completed for 180,454 people.

Brčko District

In the Brčko District, one person died as a result of the coronavirus, while 10 new infections were registered.
