The sports audience is still awaiting the first news about the return to the stands. Goran Čerkez, Assistant Minister of Health of the FBiH, said today that the return of fans to stadiums in Bosnia and Herzegovina is being intensively discussed, although the number of coronavirus infections is quite high every day.

This should happen by the end of the month, and if the instructions are not followed, the decision will be revoked even before the 14-day period expires.

He pointed out that there are still many details to be agreed upon.

“For example, it would be proposed to use 10 percent of the seating capacity per stand, to maintain distance and sit in designated places while wearing a mask, and this would not be a risk. However, we fear the risk afterwards, and we are prepared to provide instructions to increase supervision in nearby cafes and similar places and try to return people to normal life for mental health. If the experimental phase goes well, the audience could be in the stands by the end of the month. It is important to emphasize that this cannot yet be applied to indoor sports,” said Čerkez.
