After the „Ice Bucket Challenge“ campaign, which was launched on social networks from Boston to raise donations for the fight against Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Facebook users have now started a new campaign unofficially called „Gratitude Challenge“.
While in the „Ice Bucket Challenge“ campaign participants had to pour cold water over themselves and then nominate friends to do the same, participants in the „Gratitude Challenge“ have a far less difficult task. Their obligation is to write at least three things they are grateful for that day on their Facebook profile for seven days, and at the end of each day they must nominate at least one person to do the same.
Among the comments about why participants in the „Gratitude Challenge“ are happy and grateful that day, various comments can be read, ranging from people being grateful because they received a pay raise, a new job, recovered from illness, to the fact that the food in the workers' canteen was finally salty.
It is assumed that behind the campaign is one of the religious groups, which is trying to spread the idea among social network users that there is no day in a person's life in which at least three good things do not happen, for which they should be grateful, NAP reports.
