Korajlić: Everyone wants to deal with investigations in BiH, even flute professors

Everyone wants to deal with investigations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, even flute or civil engineering professors, said today in Sarajevo the dean of the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies at the University of Sarajevo, Nedžad Korajlić.

The Sarajevo Faculty of Criminalistics is hosting the final part of the International Scientific Conference ''Criminology and Criminalistics in the Function of Quality Management of the Security System'', which will conclude today with a series of presentations by the most eminent experts in these fields, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Experts from BiH, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Macedonia and Kosovo are in Sarajevo, who will try to offer answers and solutions for the prevention, detection and suppression of crime. The first part of the conference is being held at the Vijećnica building, and the second at the building of the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies in the University Campus.

The conference is organized in three separate segments. The first two conferences were already held in May and June of this year in cooperation with the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies in BiH and the Center for Social Research of the Burč University.

Dean Korajlić told reporters today that if in Europe someone walks with a gun and a mask on their head, the army and the entire security system of that country are immediately mobilized, while in BiH this problem is left to be solved by a single police patrol, which is by no means good and this practice needs to be changed.

Professor Korajlić drew attention to the fact that the security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina is not the fault of police agencies, but of those who evaluate their work, because a trend is being imposed in BiH that a successful police force does not need a budget increase, reports NAP.
