(Patria) - The Coordination of Trade Unions has sent a new letter to Prime Minister Nihad Uk, requesting the start of negotiations on the base salary amount for 2026.
The Coordination of Trade Unions sent the first letter to Prime Minister Uk on September 29, but they never received a response.
The president of the Coordination of Trade Unions of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose salaries are paid from the budget of Sarajevo Canton, Health Insurance Fund of Sarajevo Canton, and public utility companies of Sarajevo Canton, Saudim Sivro, stated that the Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton is an unserious, irresponsible, and arrogant social partner.
He stated that the primary demand of the Coordination of Trade Unions remains a salary increase.
"Prime Minister, workers' salaries need to be increased by 20%. The budget needs to be adopted before New Year. And there is no budget without salaries. So, get serious immediately. So that we all enter 2026 in peace and without problems. Because... Otherwise, you know... The Coordination of Trade Unions has shown in the past that it can be very unfair towards an unfair relationship from the Government," Sivro stated.
