KS Coordination of Unions Rejects KS Government's Offer for a 5% Salary Increase, Next Meeting on December 15

(Patria) - A meeting between representatives of the Sarajevo Canton Government and the Coordination of Sarajevo Canton Unions was held today in the Sarajevo Canton building regarding the base salary for 2026.

The KS Government offered a 5% salary increase at the meeting, which is unacceptable to the Coordination of Unions, as it is significantly less than the requested 20%.

The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, December 15, at 8:30 AM.

The unions reiterated that they are unanimous that this is no longer just a fight for workers' material rights, but a rescue of public administration in Sarajevo Canton, preserving its quality, and retaining professional staff in all branches.

The Coordination of Unions will continue its activities to reach an agreement between the unions and the KS Government on salary increases before the adoption of the Sarajevo Canton Budget, and they warned that if they do not receive a satisfactory offer at the next meeting, all legally permitted union struggle measures will follow.

The meeting today was attended by KS Prime Minister Nihad Uk and ministers Admir Katica, Adnan Šteta, Afan Kalamujić, Darja Softić Kadenić, Enda Pavić Pečenković, Naida Hota-Muminović, and Dušanka Bošković on behalf of the KS Government.

Elvis Zornić, Envera Šukman, Naida Tukić, Saim Smajlović, Admir Šuvalić, and Senad Sadiković were present on behalf of the Coordination of Unions.
