Independent Bloc Convention in a Packed BiH Parliament Hall, Senad Šepić Elected President

The first convention of the new political project – Independent Bloc is being held in a packed hall of the BiH Parliament. The people who will form the new political project in BiH have been presented, as well as the details of the "Platform for the Liberation and Advancement of BiH". The Independent Bloc states that they want to offer citizens a different, more honest, professional, and responsible approach to politics, reports the Patria agency.

The Founding Assembly was held in the first part, where 60 founders from all over BiH made the "Decision on the Establishment of the Independent Bloc" and elected the leadership. The president of the Independent Bloc is Senad Šepić from Cazin, as announced to those present by one of the NB founders, Salko Sokolović.

A large number of domestic and international guests and representatives are attending the convention, such as Dr. John Hayward, envoy of the British Conservative Party of Theresa May, and telegrams of support were sent by representatives of the European People's Party, Angela Merkel's German CDU, former High Representative Christian Schwarz-Schilling, and other officials.

Šemsudin Mehmedović, SDA MP in the BiH Parliament, as well as SDP Secretary General Irfan Čengić, and Maja Gasal Vražalica, DF representative in the BiH Parliament, also arrived at the Independent Bloc convention today.

At the convention, in addition to the founders of the Independent Bloc, Senad Šepić, Fuad Kasumović, Sadik Ahmetović, Salko Sokolović, economic experts Admir Čavalić and Faruk Hadžić from Tuzla, Dr. Kemal Dizdarević from Sarajevo, from the diaspora from Germany Sadija Klepo, from Banja Luka Darko Jotanović, professor Ivana Grgić, Prof. Dr. Muharem Karamujić from Brčko, Dr. Marijana Šećibović from Konjic, Azra Atagić Ćatović from Sarajevo, as well as students and activists Fatima Muftić from Vareš and Kemal Alispahić from Zenica are also speaking.

- Today, we have also formally launched a new political story in BiH. The Independent Bloc will be an alternative to the existing political elites and their way of governing. The focus will be on new people, capable people, and those who have not had the opportunity to prove themselves. It is time for new politics, and we believe that citizens will recognize our intention to liberate and advance Bosnia and Herzegovina towards a European perspective - stated Senad Šepić, president of the Independent Bloc.
