Consultations in Laktaši: Dodik stated that BiH will lose in the political process against him before the unconstitutional Court

(Patria) - Next week, on December 6, the trial against Milorad Dodik and Miloš Lukić for non-compliance with the High Representative's decisions continues at the Court of BiH. The previous hearing was postponed at the request of Milorad Dodik's defense due to a business trip to Hungary.

Today, an expert-consultative meeting was held in Laktaši, attended by Dodik himself. He stated that the proceedings against him were initiated before the unconstitutional Court of BiH.

"BiH will lose before the unconstitutional Court of BiH in the political process being conducted against me as the President of Republika Srpska and the Director of the Official Gazette of Srpska, Miloš Lukić," said Dodik.

He emphasized that they gathered to hear "all well-intentioned people who want to contribute to the defense before the false Court of BiH with their suggestions, observations, and insights, which is what it is - unconstitutional and which accepts that the illegal and unelected so-called High Representative initiates proceedings against a legally elected president and director of the Official Gazette".

Professor of International Law Željko Budimir stated that the process against Dodik is an attack on the institutions of Republika Srpska and that the broadest front is needed to defend the interests of the institutions of RS before the unconstitutional Court of BiH. He announced the formation of a broader team that will participate in the defense of President Dodik.

"Today, both expertise and science spoke about the direction in which we should proceed in defending the national interest of Republika Srpska and the Serb people in BiH. All the people who are here have expressed their readiness to participate as expert witnesses, consultants, and experts in this process within the defense team of the president, and I must tell you that this is one of the consultative meetings we will hold in the coming period," stated Budimir.

He said that he will invite experts and actors of political and legal life from the region, especially from Serbia, which is one of the signatories of the Dayton Agreement.

Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of East Sarajevo, Goran Marković, said that the criminal proceedings in Sarajevo are a "good" opportunity to wage a legal battle on a broad front to provide a final answer to the question of what the High Representative in BiH is for, and to problematize his existence in BiH.

"If BiH is to be a legal state that will function on the basis of the rule of law, the prerequisite for that is that power within it is exercised and policies are led by those institutions that are elected in accordance with the constitutions of BiH and the entities, completely independently and freely, which has not been the case since the first High Representative was appointed," stated Marković.
