Committee for the Award of the 'April 6th Award of the City of Sarajevo' Constituted

(Patria) - The Sarajevo City Council announced that the Committee for the Award of the "April 6th Award of the City of Sarajevo" for 2025 was constituted today.

Deputy Chairperson of the City Council Srđan Simonović wished the members of this working body of the Sarajevo City Council success in their work before the start of the session.

The Committee for the Award of the "April 6th Award of the City of Sarajevo" for 2025 consists of prominent public figures: Prof. Dr. Jasmina Selimović, Prof. Dr. Amela Mustafić, Prof. Dr. Ifet Mahmutović, Prof. Dr. Hadžan Konjo, Igor Baroš, and Kenan Kestendžić, MA in Public Administration, as well as members of the City Council's Commission for Elections and Appointments, ex officio: Dr. Sc. Mirela Džehverović, Biljana Lazarević, Muamer Mekić, Almedin Miladin, Drago Jurić, Robert Pleše, who was elected Chairperson of the Committee, and Vedad Deljković, who was elected Deputy Chairperson of the Committee.

The Committee adopted its rules of procedure and other working documents.

Additionally, the Committee established the text of the Public Call regarding the conditions and method of proposing candidates for the award of the "April 6th Award of the City of Sarajevo" for 2025, which will, in accordance with the adopted timeline, be published on the official website of the City of Sarajevo, the Sarajevo City Council, and in the public media.

The Public Call will be open from December 9, 2024, to January 23, 2025.

The Committee invited citizens to also propose candidates this year whose contribution they recognize as an exceptional contribution to the development of the city of Sarajevo, or the promotion of the city of Sarajevo, in accordance with the city regulation, i.e., the Public Call.
