Congress education at the General Hospital on the topic 'Preoperative evaluation of children and adults'

SARAJevo, (Patria) - At the General Hospital "Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš" Sarajevo, an education was held today on the topic: "Preoperative evaluation of children and adults", attended by staff of this health institution, as well as about forty colleagues participating online via the ZOOM application.

In addition to a review of modern guidelines, the education will also provide a multidisciplinary perspective on preoperative preparation, covering the anesthesiological, internistic, pediatric, and surgical aspects of preoperative evaluation of children and adults.

Participants of this professional meeting, held in compliance with epidemiological measures, were welcomed at the beginning and wished successful work by Prof. Dr. Ismet Gavrankapetanović, acting director of the General Hospital.

He congratulated the organizers, anesthesiologists from the General Hospital, on their multidisciplinary approach and the idea of organizing such a respectable gathering.

Denis Mačkić, specialist in internal medicine, subspecialist cardiologist - Pulmonological perspective in the preoperative evaluation of patients, lecturer: dr. Tijana Muhić-Skalonja, specialist in pulmonology - Guidelines and significance of pediatric findings in the preoperative evaluation of children - dr. Jasmina Šlaku, specialist in pediatrics - Surgical preoperative preparation - dr. Sanela Brzika, surgical resident
- Preoperative evaluation of adult patients for elective surgical procedures: dr. Lejla Muminagić-Hamza, specialist in anesthesia and resuscitation. Preoperative assessment of cardiac patients - dr. Eldina Jugo-Arslanagić, specialist in anesthesia and resuscitation. Preoperative evaluation of children for elective surgical procedures - dr.
